Mini-library

When?

The mini-library is open every Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on the first floor of the kindergarten.

Parents and children can take a break while reading a book.

We also invite small groups of each class during this opening time to read with them and to let them discover the available books.

What?

The proposed books in the mini-library are divided into two sections:

  • Documentaries (located on the shelf) allow the discovery of many things and are classified by theme (animals, family, world, nature, etc.).
  • Albums (stored in the trays) allow the child to develop his/her imagination and to take a break.

Why you should read with your child?

The mini-library allows the child to learn to respect the books.

Handling the books will lead to have a good taste for reading.

The book is an open window on life, on the world, on dreams and on travel. It is the imaginary by which the child can escape.

The book allows the child to learn little by little the written language.

The book can be a communication support, to answer questions your child has.

To tell and to hear a story allows children and parents to have a good moment together.

For whom?

The library offers many books for children.

The child may need you to read a story but he can also tell you its own version!

An exchange can also be created during the discovery of a documentary.

You can go to the library without the obligation to borrow, just to find yourself with your child in a quiet room, promoting dreams, imagination and escape.

Small rules

The child must be accompanied by a parent.

The child can borrow two books for a maximum period of 2 weeks.

Children aged 4 to 6 can give back the books in the box placed for this purpose in the room at any time during the week.

Children aged 2 to 4 give back the books on the desk of their teacher.

The fare is € 2.50 per child, valid for the whole length of schooling of the child.

Books must be returned in good condition.

Thank you in advance!
